My Story

With a background as a trip leader for adventure travel companies (Backroads, Trek America, Grand American Adventures, Viamonde), I know the importance of stories in connecting people to people, people to place, and people to purpose.

Whether it was guiding British backpackers on the great American road trip or teaching students from Malaysia about the joys of skiing in Switzerland, swapping stories and creating story-worthy days was always my guiding light.

I transitioned from adventure travel to transportation planning, where I used a deep understanding of commuter experiences to articulate the work local government was doing in my community.

A common thread in these careers has been my passion for connecting with people and communicating effectively.

My current stories revolve around my two sweet kiddos, our family adventures in and around Santa Barbara, and working hard to keep up with their unquenchable curiosity.

Let’s Swap Stories

If you are a dreamer, come in,

If you are a dreamer, a wisher, a liar, a hope-er, a pray-er, a magic bean buyer…

If you’re a pretender come sit by my fire

For we have some flax golden tales to spin, Come in! Come in!
